We are seeking a highly motivated, collaborative, and results-driven Automotive Materials Specification Engineer to manage Automotive Specification Requests (ASRs) from initiation through approval. The role serves as a key interface between Product Specialists, laboratories, commercial teams, and automotive OEM/Tier customers.

Verantwortlichkeiten :

What You Will Do

  • Manage Automotive Specification Requests throughout the complete approval lifecycle.
  • Maintain ASR status and documentation in Salesforce (SFDC).
  • Interpret OEM and Tier specifications and identify qualification requirements.
  • Conduct gap analyses and define additional testing needs.
  • Collect and evaluate data from SAP, Blueprints, SharePoint, TDSs, and historical approval packages.
  • Perform statistical analysis of multi-lot production data.
  • Coordinate testing requests with laboratories and technical teams.
  • Assemble, review, and submit customer approval data packages.
  • Maintain approved specification information in relevant systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement of ASR processes.

Qualifikationen:

What You Will Bring

  • Master's degree in Material Science, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of engineering thermoplastics and automotive approval processes.
  • Experience with polymer testing methods and standards (ISO, ASTM, DIN, IEC).
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to drive results.
  • Openness and adaptibility to learn.
  • Service oriented mindset, able to facilitate complex issue's resolution.
  • Global thinking and networking skills.
